The Mini Five Curette (Fig. 7/8 – Gracey 3M) is a precision periodontal hand instrument designed for subgingival scaling and root planing on the buccal and lingual/palatal surfaces of posterior teeth. It is a modified version of the Gracey 7/8 curette, featuring a shortened blade, reduced shank diameter, and miniaturized working end to enhance access in deep, narrow periodontal pockets and complex root anatomy.
