A specialized variation of the popular Parmly forceps, designed for the extraction of maxillary premolars and the roots of posterior teeth. The American pattern #32A features the same pistol-grip handle and bayonet-style shank as the #32, but with finer, more slender beaks optimized for engaging smaller crowns and grasping root fragments in the upper jaw.
Extraction of maxillary premolars (bicuspids).
Removal of fractured buccal or palatal roots from maxillary molars.
Extraction of broken-down posterior teeth where the crown is compromised.
Provides the same excellent posterior access as the #32 but with a more precise grip suitable for smaller structures.
